Ongoing Classes

In-person, Live-Streaming, and Outdoors


Ongoing classes: All classes will be Zoomed’. In-person sessions are OPTIONAL. Onsite, there will be no more than 10 permitted in the space during any given session. Weekly, students can hold their place through Calendly App – the link will be provided after registration.

Ongoing classes:
 All classes will be Zoomed’ throughout the semester. In-person sessions are OPTIONAL. Onsite, there will be no more than 10 permitted in the space during any given session.

Requirements if you intend on coming into the school. Students attending in-person classes must be fully vaccinated or have documentation of a negative COVID test (taken within 1 week before attending). All students, regardless of status must wear a mask while in the studio. There will be a document to sign EACH time you enter the space that agrees to this and the following:

  • Fully vaccinated or not, you must wear a mask.
  • Please sanitize your hands upon entering (sanitizer provided)
  • Touch as few surfaces as possible
  • Participate in disinfecting the space when class ends (disinfectant and nitrate gloves provided)
  • You must not have been exposed to anyone with Covid
  • You must not have been in large (more than 10) social gatherings of unmasked people in the past 10 days.

Practice sessions: Practices will meet on Saturdays, 10-11 AM. These sessions will meet outdoors only, weather permissible, at Dickens Elementary. Maintain social distance and it always advisable to wear a mask when not maintaining social distance.

Be safe and continue to practice distancing and good hygiene!

All classes will be live-streaming sessions through Zoom and will be recorded to make them available to registered students for support and practice. The Peaceful Dragon School of T’ai Chi Ch’uan and Chi Kung offers comprehensive learning in Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced T’ai Chi Ch’uan (TCC), as well as Basic and Intermediate Chi Kung (Qigong).  Classes begin about the second week of  September; second week of January; and the last week of April. tai chiBeginner Tai Chi – Learning the Form
(TC 1 – first/third; TC 2 – second/third; and TC 3 – third/third)
The T’ai Chi form is a series of postures linked together in a continuous, fluid manner. As an internal Chinese martial art, the form focuses on self-cultivation, integrates both physical and mental energy mechanics, promotes relaxation, and builds a sense of presence and awareness. T’ai Chi is often characterized as a moving meditation. Register for one class and you can attend both sessions per week – whatever your schedule allows – at no extra cost! (Level 1 – just beginning students as well as Level 2 and 3 are all in the same class.)  Tuition: $195

Basic Qigong
Qigong means Energy Work. This class meets once a week and introduces participants to the very basic practices in Qigong. These self-care techniques can help to give you practices for reducing muscle tension, clear your mind, and revitalize your sense of well-being. During these sessions you will learn basic stretches, breathing and visualization meditations, and self-acupressure (acu-points used in acupuncture) for just this purpose!  Best of all these exercises can be easily added to your self-care tool box and used daily. Classes taught by Master Wasentha Young. Tuition is $180

Wild Goose Qigong (prerequisite – Basic Qigong)
MeditationWant to delve deeper into Qigong? This class focuses on the Wild Goose Form and applies the very best techniques of the Basic Qigong class. Participants will deepen the experience of Qigong by taking a comprehensive approach and experience. The Wild Goose Form is a series of ongoing movement – a reverent dance that embodies the multidimensional aspect of Chi.  Classes taught by Master Wasentha Young. Register for one class and you can attend both sessions per week – whatever your schedule allows – at no extra cost!  Tuition: $195
