Fear as an Intelligence

couples logo 2Fear… What an intelligence it is… When trauma has lodged into the mind/body, fear can become a place of triggered refuge. The intelligence of fear is not to be ignored. However, the response of fear at times may be greater than what is necessary. Yes the outcome of the future is unknown – and the past painfully fearful but, the intelligence of fear is to motivate attention and responses that turn into harmonious solutions. I had many years of therapy to learn which triggers of fear were the wisdom based in my past, so that I could trust the intuitive and emotional intelligence of my present fear as a motivation factor.

Both Tai Chi and Chi Kung have also helped me to navigate within a fear-based emotion. Tai Chi is grounding and keeps me breathing. Chi Kung offers me the tools to promote harmony.   Peace, Master Young
