I Ching“Perfection is the enemy of good.” Fear of Art
This is not to say that we should not strive to become better in our arts, however if we are don’t practice for fear of being wrong then we are destined to quit. On my journey for over 46 years, I still leave myself open for reflection and change – learning early on that it is ALL about the ability to change. Whether referring to pressure changes in weight or from stillness to the issuing of force and adjustments in perspective, the myriad of changing shapes, and finding tensions that you can release – as in the I Ching, the 5 Phases and/or the Tao Te Ching, grasping the techniques for change is paramount. The goal in embracing change is to cultivate harmony, a sense of well-being and health.
